Congratulations to Express Yourself!™ Teen Radio Celebrating 5 Years of Broadcasting

What began in 2011 with two hosts and four reporters has blossomed into more than thirty-four young adults hosting and reporting from all around the United States on topics that resonate with millennials throughout the globe. This is a show for teens, by teens, and with teens created and produced by veteran radio host and producer, Cynthia Brian whose radio broadcast has been airing live weekly since 1998. Hosts interview authors, athletes, dancers, artists, scientists, astrologers, actors, Olympians, and other celebrities as well as outstanding teens making a difference from around the world. Express Yourself!™ is an outreach project of Be the Star You Are!® 501 c3 charity (www.BetheStarYouAre.org) to give youth a voice. In 2017 Be the Star You Are!® is proud to celebrate it’s 18th anniversary of being a 501 c3 non profit consistently honored as a Top Non Profit by Guidestar and Great Non Profits.

On this 242nd original radio program, the teen hosts and reporters of Express Yourself!™ celebrate FIVE years of weekly broadcasting on the Voice America Kids Network. Hosts Asya Gonzalez and Maria Wong share their early memories of being reporters, the thrill of hosting, and their appreciation for the opportunities experienced on Express Yourself!™. Katelyn Darrow who has been a host and reporter for four of the five years recalls when she began as a high school freshman and what she has learned from interviewing and reporting as the years have passed. Henna Hundal chimes in with her appreciation for the opportunities gained and the one-of-a-kind experiences she has enjoyed while making a difference for others in our world. With his World Watch report, Joven Hundal, speaks of the past year’s accomplishments of outstanding teens all around the world, a refreshing look at how youth are changing the face of the earth for the better.
